Have you always wanted to write a book? I know I have but I just keep putting it off. It seems like there is always something else to do or something else that has to get done around the house or kid‘s homework.
If you are laid off or have time…now is the time to get started! Do not put your unique book idea on hold any longer. If writing a book has been your life long dream, conquer that dream and make it a reality.
To get started plan on set a time each day when you can write. Write down the directions on how much time you must write every day. Find a place to write that is quiet and suits your needs. Then follow your own instructions.
Outline your book. Start with your book idea and then you can make lines along the side of your idea and write other thoughts you have next to it. Write what you want the plot to be and how you think you want the book to end. This will help you when you actually start to write your book.
When you do start to write your book do not edit as you write it. This will stop your train of thought. Keep on writing without making corrections as your brain is in its creative mode. You can edit when you are done writing or better yet another day. Usually if you look at your writing another day, you will find more errors to correct such as punctuation. You will be able to catch bad sentence format another day when it is not so fresh in your mind.
Once you finish your book, which should not take as long as you think if you listen to your directions and set aside writing time each day, you should ask someone else to read your book. Ask a person that has good editing skills. Get the person’s opinion on what they truly think about your book. If the person did not like it, don’t fret, not everyone will like your book. People like different genres.
You will need to get a publisher if you want your book in print. Do your research and look at book publishers online that fit the type of book you have written. You can even pay to publish your own book online. There are package deals on how many books you want to buy, if you want the book listed on popular websites such as Amazon or Barnes & Noble, etc.
