Ways to Make Money on Twitter

Watercolor photo by Fran. Copyright by Fran http://www.francesmarywatercolors.com.

First of all, you will need to take at least a month to make friends on Twitter. So many people think you just post a comment with a link and then you will make a sale. This is not true. Think about it. In real life you will be able to sell to easier to people you know in real life because people know you and want to help you. So this is why you should take a month (or more) on Twitter and add friends. “Talk” to your friends. When they post a comment, reply to their comment. Get to know your online friends.

On Twitter you only have 140 characters for each comment you leave to your friends. The 140 characters are included in your Twitter private messages as well.

After you get to know your friends on Twitter, you can ask them to order from your business. Think of creative ways to make them look at your business link. Slowly tell them what you do. Show a picture here and there on your business.

Next, make sure you have your business online via a website. No matter what you sell, your friends are sure to check it out. Hopefully they will order from you.

If you want to, you can have discounts for friends only, sales before and after Christmas, spring sales, fall sales and anytime you choose to have a sale.

Make sure your website has a PayPal option, credit card option and list if you choose to accept checks. Your website should also include a shopping cart area. People should be able to easily order from you and pay. You do not want to make this part of your website a mystery as people are sure to cancel their order if they cannot figure out how to safely pay for the item(s).

Networking with Social Media

A great way to get your business and name out there is with networking using social media. Social media will link you to your friends, family, and their friends and family. When you use networking with social media you tremendously increase your odds of being a successful business.

LinkedIn is a great way to network with social media. You sign-up to LinkedIn and invite your friends and family who have a business. Make sure you completely fill out your profile. The more you fill out your profile, the better odds you will have in getting your information on your business known. You can even put three links to your business, blogs, etc., on your profile. You may put your current job and past jobs to help you sell yourself. You can also attach your resume for potential employers and business.

Not only will you connect with other business people, when your name or the name of your company is typed in Google, your LinkedIn profile link will show near the top of the search engine page. This makes it easier for people to find you and buy from you. http://www.LinkedIn.com.

Twitter is the fastest growing social media network. By using your name or your business name you are getting your name out there in the cyber world again. Make sure you give yourself a ‘brand’ as a name and use it exactly the same with every social media online network website.

With Twitter you leave “tweets.” You can only use up to one hundred and forty characters per tweet. This makes what you say short and sweet and you can always put a link to your business or other interesting things you think customers will want to know about. Make sure you also show your personality here and there so potential customers feel like they know you as a person. http://www.twitter.com.

There are many websites you can network with using social media. The next blog will give you information on networking with Facebook. For more information, please visit http://www.preparednessmentor.com/.
