Many men (and some women) like a good cigar. He can relax after a day of hard work and unwind with a cigar and a good book or a glass of scotch.

Father’s Day is approaching and what better time than right now to open an online store of fine cigars. You can have a wonderful variety of cigars offered. Cigars will sell during peek holiday times such as Christmas and Valentine’s Day. Birthdays are a special time to give cigars as well as Bosses Day.

Each month offer to send a Cigar of the Month for people to give as gifts or to treat themselves.
Do a little research and find out which cigars are the best. Ask your friends and family which cigars they like. Perhaps you live near a cigar shop or a store that sells fine cigars. Ask the employee which cigars are popular and why people like them.

You may want to offer to send two cigars per month or a cigar pack per month for a higher cost. This will give buyer’s the choice on how much they want to spend.

If you are a cigar smoker yourself you will have an even better idea on what cigars you would like to sell. Make sure you add a variety of cigars to your merchandise stock.

To get started set up an easy to navigate website or have someone do it for you. Make sure you include pictures of the cigars you will be offering to make your website more appealing. Use a cart check-out system to make it easier for your customers to pay.

To help your website stay at the top page in Google add three blogs per week with your website link posted. You can write about different types of cigars, post photos of cigars, history of cigars, famous celebrities who smoke cigars such as George Burns, etc.

You will need to purchase boxes to ship the cigars, shipping labels, packing tape and packing material so as not to crush the cigars.

Save all receipts for tax time on your business.

As customers order from your website make sure you save their name and address in your computer and have shipping labels for twelve months ready ahead of time to make it easier for you.
